Myself, Robsey and Kula took a trip around Boddingtons on Saturday. Nowhere near as big a site as Guinness, but it has most of the same features on a slightly smaller scale. Access was no problem thanks to BenWRX's tips (thanks dude). We did find the site quite hard to navigate as it has lots of sprawling interconnecting buildings and loads of set of stairs, but I think we saw most of the stuff in the main brewhouse.
Also found a 'special room' similar to guinness, but the contents weren't quite as special.
The main entrance:
The Chimney (stunning landmark - can be seen all over the city):
An old looking copper:
Draining board with funky coloured hydrometers:
Malt sack:
Fermenting vessels (note the nice mould on the ceiling ):
View of Strangeways prison watchtower from the rooftop:
Another draining board with what looks like a sample vessel:
One of the many staircases:
Boddingtons window:
Randomly scattered pipework:
Some more coppers (perhaps more mordern than the one above):
Door to the hop store:
Boiler room (they even call the central heating water 'liquor'. lol):
Fermentation control room:
More pictures here: Photobucket | The safer way to store your photos
Robsey and kula will have more to add, I'm sure.
