Went to the asylum on Sat. Saw this place on here and just had to go. Only got half a day in here, you need a full day really as it’s a huge place. Loads to see. Pretty heavy vandalism. Superb building though. Very dangerous in places, especially in the main building and entrance. The first floor is falling through. Very Very easy to fall in a massive hole in the main corridor. Be careful. Torch is essential.
Some great features like the projection room and ballroom, mortuary (although the slab is bust up..where is the other half?:crazy) Church is worth a look although stripped. Good fun. Great 28 day family day out! It took that long to look round by darkness I still had not photographed any think like what I wanted so I must return- Especially to get a decent frontal shot. That’s prob the best view. Security patrol the site.
