Cheers for posting! Such a shame the panels have been removed. I wonder if it was scrappers or if they were sold officially? Must have been a glorious sight in its heyday, a few TFTs is all you get now and one guy at a desk...

Ah, interesting thought, not considered that one. They did like to include it in just about everything possible in those days! There was plenty of controversy during the 80s when they were stripping asbestos from the powerstation. The contractors did a dirty job without propper permissions or preceedures and it became a political hot potato.

Looks brilliant - I vaguely recall walking past this about a decade ago and wondering if it had been converted into a standard substation or not. Now I know the answer
