Gartloch was a beautiful Victorian general hospital, built in 1889 - it closed in 1996, and parts have now been redeveloped into the usual soulless executive village. Some bits are still untouched - the development has stalled.

There are a couple of ward buildings - all pretty decayed:

However, there's one jewel in the crown - the main hall, which is, though decaying rapidly, still stunning:

Gartloch was on my first scotland trip, in fact my first time to scotland without the folks... was loving every second of it, it felt a million miles away from home!

Attention to detail ben my boy ;) This side had a harp and a violin, the other had something different. I know the photo is crap, it was a 2002 100 quid compact lol!

And finally, a very young looking me, Riddlers and Disco kitten. What a difference hair and sideboads make eh?! I would rather boil my own bollocks than be seen in baggy jeans these days!
