INFO.
Hi all long overdue reports coming up. Starting with this smallish air raid shelter. History not much i am afraid searched on here and on net but to no avail. It has been done a few times and even they don't have any history. Anyhow as quite a cool place very interesting and my first shelter. Was filled in most places but a decent look around with some old furniture and features still there not much but some. Anyhow will get on with pics enjoy all. Overall decent look around.

Well i"ll be Devils advocate mate......the last pics nice :thumb

Well done on getting in but TBH i"d suggest there"s not really any point posting most of these, as they could be anything, anywhere, & you really do need to grasp the basics of shooting in the dark to produce something that"s not going to be rapidly deleted.

I know it"s not a Photography Forum but there"s a limit to what"s acceptable & it"s not Rocket Science ...ask Reich :)

Members will appreciate a decent picture mate, & when you look back at them i"tll justify any effort taken to obtain them to yourself & if you remember the FAQ"s on posting viewable pics, most of these unfortunately don"t fulfill the brief.

Just being honest mate, just as for everyone else that posts the same

@ACID- REFLUX has a point here, it's a good effort and nobody is knocking your enthusiasm and efforts whatsoever

I'm not sure what camera you use, but I'f suggest you get a tripod sorted out

With regards to this > "you really do need to grasp the basics of shooting in the dark to produce something that"s not going to be rapidly deleted." there are a few chilled places in and around Manc that offer just that opportunity, I'm happy to point you in the right direction with this lot so feel free to get in touch

Ok you need a tripod, when it gets dark you won't be able to keep a camera stable enough by hand.

I'm not sure what torch you're using but I'd recommend the LED Lenser P7 or 7.2, they're bright but the light is evenly distributed.

Set the camera to S or Manual mode and go for a long exposure with a reasonable F stop (I use around F12 - F14)

Using a two second timer can reduce any shake from you pressing the shutter release.

as the camera is capturing the image wave the torch around to try and get an even distribution of light over the scene.

If you follow these simple steps you'll see your pics improve right away

I"ve offered before if we ever met up with Reich etc but seem to be at different ends of the Country. So if someones got 5-10 mins free for Tuition in Manc ?

Maybe a light painting/ low light etc Tuition video would be a good idea for the Forum ?

I've offered up underground meets many times in Manc for new members over the last few years, and every time it's the same few heads that turn up
