History
St Joseph's College was founded in 1880 by Bishop Bernard O'Reilly to be the Seminary serving the North West of England. On St. Joseph’s Day, 19th March, 1880 Dr. O’Reilly blessed and laid the foundation stone of the new college. The foundation of the large building was laid in April 1880 and college was opened in 1883. It later closed in 1992 when the last students left.

Once in I crawled across floors and finally saw the most beautiful decaying place I may have ever seen. Spent 5 hours in here before a single alarm went off and then proudly left with a smug grin on my face.
