Its a shame that this marvelous venue is going to be demolished I will give in that the stage is not conventional but I remember seeing the black and white minstrel show there in late 60's when the place was packed out with holiday makers, the last show I saw there was Jason Manford and this was in the year he did the naughty things on web cam, and it was a cold winters snowy night but the place was full, so given the right shows there is an audience to fill the place,

It's such a shame that a building like this that has given
People joy and laugher will be knocked down and
No-one bat an eye lid, this forum is like its final curtain

when the council say its too far beyond refurbishment, what they really mean is someone has given them a nice little backhander
