Talgarth Mid Wales Asylum
After only a slightly disappointing trip to a derp cottage up a very sketchy road I managed to nag Oakleyframer into driving us to Talgarth.
The place is really decayed with some very very sketchy floors but if you like overgrown stuff and corridors then it's brilliant.
Yoinked and brief history.....
The asylum was opened in 1904 under the name Brecon and Radnor Joint Counties Lunatic Asylum. It served the local counties initially and then widened its admittance area to accommodate other counties. It also later admitted patients from Cardiff as a hospital there was used to house soldiers during WW2. It closed in 1999, and the Chief Medical Officer picked it up for not much over £200k. Local businesses operated from there till 2009.
After putting some of these on Facebook turned out Mr.Sam went exactly 6 years previous to me so I've added some of his piccy's for comparison. (hope you don't mind Sam ! x )
The hall

From Mr.Sam the same corridor 6 years ago......
then we noticed the chapel and nipped inside before heading home
